Greg completes 24 Hour Golfathon in aid of Parkinson UK Charity
August 30, 2011

Greg Hollis, a 21 handicap golfer has just completed his 24 Hour Golfathon on the 9 hole course at Stonham Barns Golf Centre. He started at 6pm on Sunday 28th August and has played all through the night and day and finished his amazing achievement at 6pm Monday 29th August 2011. During the 24 hours of playing he completed 32 rounds of golf around the par 29, 9 hole course at Stonham Barns.

So far he has raised over £1,200 for the Parkinson UK Charity, a charity that has close connections with his family. He would like to give a special thanks to UKMail who have agreed to match every pound raised.

Greg Hollis is raising money for Parkinson UK Charity with a 24 hour Golfathon

Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. The Parkinson’s Charity brings people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via their network of local groups, their website and their free confidential helpline. In addition they are leading the work to find a cure, and they say they are closer than ever.

Greg is still hoping to raise more money and any support would be most welcome. You can donate either at the Greg Hollis Just Giving web page at www.justgiving.com/GregHollis or via text msg by sending GOLF77 then your amount (£5, £10, etc) to 70070.

Note to Event organisers and Golf Clubs: If you are a charity or golf club raising funds through golf, please tell us all about it and we will feature your event here.
