Bobby Jones won the 1930 Amateur Championship at St Andrews, part of his unequalled Grand Slam

First organised less than a year after the formation of the United States Golf Assocation, the US Amateur counts many of game's greatest among its winners. Jack Nicklaus won it twice and Tiger Woods three times, but Bobby Jones holds the record, winning it for the fifth time in 1930 as the final leg of his Grand Slam.
