Green: Do you have any part time vacanicies at the moment
at the Epsom RAC branch?

club direct
Judith
J. Gadd: I was wondering if anyone has any information about
Charles Harry Gadd who was the golf pro at Brancepeth from
1918-1925? He was my grandfather. I would also love to connect
with any relatives of his or George Gadd his brother.
Editor:-Can
anyone help - I'm afraid I can't but if there is no response
why not contact the Secretary of Brancepeth and see if he
can help - I would think the club would have the details
Dave Smith
message: In a standard strokeplay competition when there is
a tie, how is the "countback" worked out? i.e. Is it standard
to be gross or nett?
Editor:-The
countback is taken over the last 9 holes in an 18 hole event
- last 18 in 36 holes or more. In a handicap competition
you would take the net score, in a scratch compeition the
gross score.
Last Saturday
playing in a club competition a caddie gave instruction to
HIS player in my group as to how to play a shot. I would like
to know if this is breaking a rule of golf. Jamie Harris
Editor:
Provided the caddy gave advice to
his own player that's perfectly in order. In fact if you
are playing foursomes or four ball then the caddy can give
advice to his players partner.
