WELSH TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TEES OFF

The first preliminary round of the Welsh Team Championship 1999 has teed off to a successful start. At the end of May, a record number of clubs participated to compete for the impressive title of Welsh Team Champion 1999, Wales' most prestigious scratch team event.

Llanwern as defending Champions and Nefyn as the host club gain automatic exemption to the final stages to be played at Nefyn and District Golf Club between 14th and 16th August, whilst the other groups will battle their way through the qualifying groups to reach the last 32.
