WELSH GOLFING UNION:
FOUR NEW CAPS IN WELSH BOYS SIDE

Wales have selected four new caps for the European Boys Team Championship to be played at Upsala Golf Club, Sweden from 6th to 10th July 1999.

Paul Harris, Cennydd Mills, Richard Scott and Jamie Simkiss have all impressed this season and thoroughly deserve their chance in Sweden. David Price, recent winner of the Welsh Youths Championships and Gareth Bennett who last weekend successfully defended his Welsh Boys Stroke Play Championship at the Vale of Llangollen both played international golf last year.

Non playing Captain Andy Ingram said: "I believe we have selected a very strong side which is capable of being extremely competitive in Sweden."

Former Welsh Champion Stephen Jones will travel with the team as Manager.
