MATTHEWS STAYS CLEAR

Neil Matthews continued his good form by finishing tied 16th in the recent weather affected St Andrews Links Trophy. Matthews receives 1.66 points as a result of the tie and maintains his number 1 position at the top of the Konica table. Jamie Donaldson was the only other Welshman to make the cut at St. Andrews.

Wales' leading golfers head for Northern Ireland this week in a bid for glory at the British Amateur Championship which is being staged at the wonderfully scenic Royal County Down Links. Craig Williams will be hoping to go one better than his runner up spot last year.
