VICTORIOUS
WALES
The
Women's Home Internationals title was unexpectedly taken by Wales
at Royal Dornoch this year. The youthful Welsh team, average age
of 19, beat the home nation 5½-3½ to take the title.
In the final day, Wales knew that any win over Scotland would be
sufficient provided England failed to whitewash Ireland.
England
sealed the runner-up position with a 7-2 victory over Ireland with
Scotland in final place, failing to get a single point.
