JACK BRABHAM MEETS TIGRA WOODS?

Celebrity golfers at Malden Golf club in Surrey spotted a Tigra rather than a birdie on the second hole at a Charity Golf Day on 7 July. Lucky golfer Victor Deritis got a hole in one on the second hole from an incredible 156 yards using a 7 iron to win a brand new Vauxhall Tigra Chequers offered by Jack Brabham Vauxhall for the first hole-in-one.

Robert Hunter, Golf Professional at Malden Golf Club, said "Any hole in one s an achievement. This was a demanding par 3 with water on the left and a difficult bunker on the right."

Brian Fowler, Managing Director of Jack Brabham, handed over the keys to the lucky winner. "Victor played an amazing hole-in-one on the second hole and then carried on to finish in true style. This is a great way to combine a fun and highly competitive round of golf with support for local charities. I hope his driving on the roads in his new Tigra is as good as his driving on the golf course!"

Celebrities taking part in the round included Ed Stewart, Radio 2 Presenter and Terry Mancini, former Arsenal footballer. 200 enthusiastic golfers raised in excess of £7,000 for national charities including Macmillan Nurses and Age Concern. Other prizes contributed by Jack Brabham included tickets for a mini cruise to Germany or Holland worth £300 which were auctioned by Ed Stewart.
