"STIGGY" HODGSON (AGED 8)
CHILD GOLFING PRODIGY
Eamonn
(nicknamed "Stiggy") who finished joint (Under 8's) winner
in 1996 and 1997 at the Doral Publix World Junior Championships
in Miami and the UK's National Under 8's Champion is now competing
in two major golf championships this year, which he has never played
in before:

Eamonn
plays and practices at the Portal Golf & Country Club in Cheshire,
where he is an honorary member, has recently been given a mens handicap
of 22.
On
Sunday 25th April, playing in a match with two golf professionals,
Stiggy holed-in-1 on the part three 6th hole (102 yards) of the
Arderne Course at Portal and he went on to score a gross 36 (six
over par). This is now Stiggy's fourth hole-in-1! He has not lost
any enthusiasm for the game and over the past weekend was out on
the course for a total of 26 hours over two days.
