SCOTTISH GOLF - SKILLS TEST

The premium will be on accuracy at the Scottish National Golf Centre on Sunday 9 May, when 36 of the country's most promising young golfers compete in the Final of the Skills Test.

Twenty six boys in the under-14 age group and ten girls in the under-15 section will gather at Drumoig to demonstrate their wide-ranging golfing ability, having come through regional heats the length and breadth of the country.

After an introduction and practice session in the morning, the Final will take place in the afternoon with elements tested including bunker play, chipping, pitching, driving, iron play and putting from various distances both up and down hill.
