TOP SCOTTISH GOLFER RELOCATES
TO SKIBO CASTLE

 

The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, is proud to announce the appointment of one of Scotland's young up-and-coming golfing stars, Roger Beames.

With an impressive handicap of Plus 2 to his credit, 24 year old Roger, originally from Ayrshire, will be assisting in the Pro Shop and at the Golf House and playing golf with members and guests.

Roger, who is currently fourth in the Scottish Order of Merit finished in the top twenty-five in this year's Lytham Trophy and tenth in the West of Scotland Open Championship. More recently, he was identified as the most impressive player during the first round of the Scottish Area Team Championship at Royal Durnoch, where he won both his games. With many more major amateur events to be played this summer, including the Open Championship in July, Roger also hopes to represent Great Britain and Ireland in the forthcoming Walker Cup.

By working at Skibo he will have ample opportunity to utilise its magnificent facilities, which include The Donald Steel 18-hole course, as part of his training preparations. So watch this space...
