Twenty-three year old Sophia Sandolo from the island of Elba, won the European Amateur individual title at Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.

She beat Karine Icher by two strokes after she was penalised two shots for repairing a pitchmark on the apron of the 6th green.

Sophia scored a final round of 68, four under par, winning with a total of 284.

Finishing joint sixth were Ireland's Alison Coffey and Suzanne O'Brien at three over par, 291.
