At the summer golf school held at the Marriott St Pierre in South Wales, a five year old boy, Oliver Buff, was nominated as most improved golfer.

The school, which lasted for six weeks, was run by the club professionals and 75children between the ages of 5 and 12 attended. Individual lessons and target and putting competitions were held.
