TITLEIST AND FOOTJOY SUPPORT
ENGLISH GOLF UNION

 

Titleist and Footjoy, the world famous golf equipment manufacturer, have announced their continued support of the English Golf Union and England International Golf Teams.

The agreement recently signed commits Titleist and Footjoy to supplying balls, gloves, shoes and golf bags for the England Mens team, England Youth Team and England Boys Team for the 1999 golfing season.

Titleist will supply PTS golf balls for use on the Driving Range at the National Golf Academy and Tour Balata balls for the Short Game Area. Titleist will also inject £10,000 in cash into the English Golf Union and be the official ball, glove and shoe supplier to the Golf Shop at the National Golf Centre.

Mr P M Baxter, Secretary of the EGU comments, "The EGU are very appreciative of the continued generous support offered by Titleist and FootJoy towards supplying the England International Teams. It is important that the players use the best available equipment when representing their country and this is most certainly achieved through the quality of the products supplied by Titleist."

Mr J Peal, Director of Marketing for Titleist also stated: "Titleist and FootJoy are proud to be associated with amateur golf at the highest levels, both the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa and all the national teams to whom we wish every success for the forthcoming season."
