DONALDSON PUSHES WHILST
MATTHEWS INCREASES LEAD

At the penultimate event on this year's Konica Order of Merit, Jamie Donaldson was a model of consistency whilst producing four sub par rounds to win the Tucker Trophy at the weekend. Donaldson's total of 275 strokes, eleven under par earned 100 Konica Order of Merit points to move him into 4th spot.

Neil Matthews the leader of the Konica Order of Merit since the Trubshaw Cup in April increased his advantage over Lee Harpin to just over 60 points by finishing in equal fourth position.

Matthew Griffith's fine second place finish at the weekend moves him into 6th place in the table with Bargoed's Stuart Roberts occupying 7th spot. Richard Brookman continued the fin run of form which he will be keen to maintain into next week's Welsh Amateur Championships at Tenby, the final event before selection of the team for the Home International Series at Royal County Down, Ireland in September.
