Guarding
Against Court Claims
Golfers
can now avoid hefty pay-outs if they hit someone with a miscued
drive by insuring themselves. The increase in sports-related claims
makes it virtually essential to cover yourself. A Liverpool golfer
has already been sued for £24,000 after a fellow player lost an
eye.
Julian
Hucks, managing director of SportsCover Direct who provide up to
UKP2 million against third-party claims, said: "It is estimated
that there are seven million amateur sporting accidents each year,
resulting in over 11 million lost working days."
