CANCER CHARITY TO BENEFIT FROM SENIOR GOLFERS

The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) will be presented with a cheque for £399 this Sunday, 22 August by the Master Class National Seniors Club Classic. The presentation is taking place at the regional final of the Classic at Muthill Golf Course in Crieff.

The Master Class International Seniors Club Classic is the only national golf tournament for senior golfers. It has been very successful in this, its inaugural year, with more than 100 clubs taking part.

Peter Smith of The Master Class National Seniors Club Classic said: "One of the golfers' main aims has been to raise funds for charities and the AICR has been a major recipient. This is specifically because of the AICR's commitment to research into prostate cancer which we feel is very important."
