FOUR
NEW CAPS IN ENGLAND BOYS TEAM

England
have named four new caps in their 11-strong squad for the Boys Home
International sat Conqy Golf Club, North Wales, on 4-6 August.
Zane
Scotland (Woodcote Park), 17, who qualified for the Open Championship
at Carnoustie as one of the youngest players this century, earns
a place after being capped for the Under-16's against Italy this
year.
Richard
Coulson (Hull), who was reserve for the World Junior Team Championship
in Japan last month, which England won for the second successive
year, is also called up along with David Skinns (Canwick Park) and
James Heath (Coombe Wood).
Skinns,
17, was reserve for the triumphant team that carried off the European
Boys Team Championship in Sweden earlier this month, while Heath,
16, also played against the Italians before winning the McGregor
Trophy at Fairhaven four weeks ago.
However,
the backbone of the team for Wales is composed of the victorious
side that carried off the European Boys Team Championship, in the
shape of Nick Dougherty, 17, (Shaw Hill), who will captain the side,
Simon Robinson, 18 (Seaton Carew), Sandeep Grewal, 17 (Heswall),
David Porter, 16 (Stoneham), Ben Welch, 17 (Weymouth), and Scott
Godfrey, 18 (St Enodoc).
Porter
has just won the Carris Trophy by a five-shot margin at High Post,
while Godfrey has been nominated to play in the Doug Sanders World
Junior Championships at Aberdeen in August.
Chris
Mayson, 18, (Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands) completes the squad
which will be seeking a second successive victory in the event.
Five members of this year's squad, Porter, Robinson, Mayson, Dougherty
and Godfrey, played last year when England competed a clean sweep
at St Andrews.
The
non-travelling reserves are Richard Costello (Sundridge Park) and
Lee Nash (Surbiton).
The
full squad is Nick Dougherty (Shaw Hill), Captain, Richard Coulson
(Hull), Scott Godfrey (St Enodoc), Sandeep Grewal (Heswall), James
Heath (Coombe Wood), Chris Mayson (Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands),
