BONE STEEL RENEW SPONSORSHIP OF
SCOTTISH STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Scottish Stroke Play Championship has been given a boost with the confirmation of a further two year sponsorship agreement with Bone Steel Ltd.

Colin Bone, Director of Bone Steel, said: "We are delighted to secure a further 2 year association with the SGU and the Scottish Stroke Play Championship. The partnership created last year was very successful and as a major Scottish company, it is particularly pleasing to sponsor one of Scotland's major sporting events."

The Scottish Stroke Play Championship has always attracted a field featuring top players from home and abroad and was first played in 1967 when the winner was former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher. The three most recent winners have all been Walker Cup players, Barclay Howard in 1997 at Monifieth, Lorne Kelly at Moray Golf Club in 1998 and this year Graham Rankin at St Andrews.

The 2000 Bone Steel Scottish Stroke Play Championship will be played at Letham Grange on 17th and 18th June.
