Becky in Curtis Squad

 

Becky Brewerton, the 16-year-old winner of the Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Huddersfield in August, is one of 12 players named in the Great Britain & Ireland elite squad to prepare for next year's Curtis Cup - at ganton from June 24-25.

She is joined by five members of the team which lost in America last year - Kim Andrew, Fiona Brown, Rebecca Hudson, Hilary Monaghan and Becky Morgan, who recently helped spearhead Wales to their first victory in the women's home internationals at Royal Dornoch.

The squad will gather throughout the winter and next spring for a programme of meetings conducted by coach Maureen Madill and golf fitness and management consultant Paul Darby.
