SUMMER SCHOOLS

International Summer Golf Schools for youngsters between 10 and 17 are being run at two Scottish venues in 2001. Grass Roots Golf Scotland are organising a total of six camps in St Andrews and Stirling in July and August.

The camps have been running for the past two years and have already attracted youngsters from all over the UK and several European countries. This year, bookings have already been received from Andorra, Poland, Sweden and the United States. Venues are the famous St Leonards Boarding School in St Andrews and Stirling University.

Youngsters at the camp have a week of activities designed to be both enjoyable and instructional. They are given an appreciation of the game of golf and its heroes and encouraged to improve their golf skills significantly through the teaching and playing programmes.
