"EGU SAY GET INTO GOLF"

The English Golf Union is pleased to announce the launch of its 'get into golf' campaign in an effort to introduce more people into the game.

Following the massive success last year of the their grass roots initiative FREE GOLF COACHING FOR BEGINNERS, the EGU are to continue again this summer with more venues and even more dates.

Funded by sponsorship from Prosimmon and supported by Sportsmatch, FREE GOLF COACHING will be available to beginners at venues all over England between June and September 2001, again benefiting thousands of people.

Any beginner wishing to experience golf for the first time can simply register with a venue and receive one-hour of FREE GOLF COACHING with a qualified PGA professional. Golf balls and golf clubs are provided free of charge.

No matter whether you are young or old, male or female the EGU encourages
you to 'get into golf' and have a go. Families are also very welcome.

FREE GOLF COACHING is just the beginning of a series of initiatives that the
EGU offers, ultimately designed to create an easier pathway through to golf
club membership.
