Scottish Amateur Winner Get's Johnny Walker Award

20 year old Steven O'Hara, the current Scottish Amateur title holder, last night was awarded the Johhny Walker Scottish Golfer of the Year crown.

The award took place at the Scottish Golf Union's annual dinner and should help O'Hara to make this year's GB&I Walker Cup Team. He also won the Scottish golf ranking title.

O'Hara had such a good season in 2000 that his nearest rival was behind by 178 points. He won the West of Scotland Championship, Scottish Amateur and was third in the Scottish Stroke Play. He was also a member of the winning Home Internationals team.
