JUNIOR
GOLFERS ON COURSES FOR APRIL SPECIAL
Golf
at Gleneagles throughout April will look more youthful than ever
as the resort invites junior golfers to play on the world famous
golf courses for free.
Young
golf enthusiasts, aged 15 years and under, will be able to play
any of the resort’s three championship courses (The PGA Centenary,
King’s and Queen’s) or the 9 hole par-three Wee Course, throughout
the month of April for free when sharing a tee time with
a parent or adult. The offer is available Monday to Friday (excluding
Good Friday 13 April) and is based on a maximum of two junior golfers
playing per tee-time.
To
make a golf booking and take advantage of the fabulous April offer,
golfers should contact the resort sales team on Freephone 0800 704
705.
Junior
golfers who are not quite ready to play the championship courses
can develop their skills at The Golf Academy during their school
holidays. On Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 April juniors aged between six
and 14 years old can sign up for the "Back to Golf" programme,
while those looking for a more intense programme can take part in
the "Junior Classic" on Friday 13 to Sunday 15 April.
Newly
appointed head professional, Sandy Smith said;
"It
is important that juniors are given every opportunity to play
and improve their golfing skills. The championship courses are
ideally suited for all standards of golfer due to the flexible
course length from the five tees. Similarly The Golf Academy provides
a wide range of facilities and programmes designed to suit juniors
of all ages and abilities. They learn in a safe and serious environment
and have a balance of fun in the process. The programmes are extremely
popular with both girls and boys and places are already selling
fast."
