New ELGA President Announced

Mrs Sue Bennett F.C.A. has accepted the nomination to be the next President of the English Ladies' Golf Association.

She succeeds Mrs Elizabeth Boatman O.B.E. at the Annual General Meeting in December 2001 and will hold office for a period of two years.

Mrs Bennett was Hon. Treasurer of ELGA between 1986 and 1995 having previously been Treasurer of the Cheshire County Ladies' Golf Association for a number of years. She was Cheshire Captain in 1993.

The next Vice Chairman of ELGA is to be Mrs Joy Hunter. Joy is currently the Chairman of ELGA's National Training Committee, and LGU representative on the English Scratch Score Committee.

She played for Yorkshire between 1963 and 1990 and was County Champion in 1970. Joy won the Northern Vets. Championship four times between 1995 and 2000 and was Yorkshire Captain in 1996.
