LIFE LOCH LOMOND ANNOUNCES CHAMPION’S CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Described
as “a compelling package of terrific value” by Graeme Simmers, Chairman
of the Championship Committee, spectators at this years Standard
Life Lomond golf tournament will, for the first time, become exclusive
daily or weekly members of the Champion’s Club. The tournament is being held the week before the Open Championship,
from July 12th – 15th at the Scenic Loch Lomond
Golf Club.
“The
Champion’s Club entitles members to a wonderful stream of benefits
at a great price, unmatched in any other major competitive golfing
event,” said Mr Simmers.
A
weekly membership offers full access to the spectacular course throughout
the 4-day tournament, as well as the two preceding practice days,
July 10th and 11th.
Ticket holders will receive an individually numbered, collectable
commemerative badge for the event, along with a membership certificate
for the Champion’s Club at Loch Lomond.
Members will have the opportunity to win one of 10 round
trip flights to the U.S. courtesy of American Airlines, as well
as a chance to win a round of golf at Loch Lomond Golf Club itself.
This year’s members will also be offered first right to renew
for future tournaments.
Additionally,
members will each receive a daily complimentary ‘Ultimate’ sandwich
from Marks and Spencer, along with a Pepsi soft drink.
These will be offered each day, the ticket is valid from
12th – 15th July.
“Marks
and Spencer and Pepsi have teamed with Loch Lomond Golf Club to
create a great free food programme for Champion’s Club members.
The quality of product from Pepsi and Marks and Spencer is
a fine fit with Loch Lomond.”
Weekly
membership costs only £50, daily membership is £25 per day.
Tickets can be purchased through a Hotline on 0845 60 60
268.
“Relative
to other sporting events, including The Open, our price is certainly
very attractive,” said Graeme Simmers.
Weekly
badges will be limited to only 10,000 for the entire tournament.
Daily tickets will be limited to 3,000 per day.
Graeme
continued, “Loch Lomond is such a pristine place, it fits that our
galleries are of limited size.
The tournament has always sought to define the highest possible
standards and it has been a primary goal to preserve the incredible
beauty and tranquillity of the site at Loch Lomond.
We want spectators and players alike to have as memorable
a time as possible, enjoying the natural beauty of the land and
the loch. We want each spectator to experience the golf
course and players close-up, with limited galleries in a relaxing
environment. The limit of
10,000 weekly members and 3,000 daily members will enable us to
do this. Once tickets are sold out, that’s it. We certainly expect a sell out with the great
field we will have.”
This
years Champion ‘s Club members can look forward to seeing Colin
Mongomerie defend his title, with competition from Paul Lawrie,
Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Lee Westwood and Jesper Parnevik and
many others from both the European and US tours.
Now in its 5th year, Standard Life Loch Lomond
will enjoy its strongest line-up of players, with over 50 international
players attending
