GOLF FOUNDATION HELPS CHESHIRE GOLF CLUB WIN MILLENIUM GRANT
TO DEVELOP GIRLS GOLF

The ladies section of Didsbury Golf Club in Cheshire has been awarded a “Millennium Awards For All” Grant totalling £4300 to develop the girls section of the club.

The Golf Foundation’s Northern Regional Development Officer, Philip Beard who guided the club’s the application, said, “ it is expected that the money will be used to develop girls golf around the Manchester area and establish a girls section at the club.  It will also go towards suitable equipment, professional coaching fees and running a Golf Foundation junior Leader’s Award programme at the Didsbury.

The Club’s Junior Organiser, Pat Dalby said she would welcome any calls from girls wishing to receive subsidised coaching.
