EGU GRASS ROOTS INITIATIVE HELPING TO DEVELOP
THE GAME OF GOLF

 

The English Golf Union’s national campaign to attract more people to the game of golf, “free golf coaching for beginners”, has introduced over a thousand people to the game of golf so far this summer, and with several venues still offering this fantastic opportunity there are plenty of places available for people of all ages to get involved.

This grass roots initiative sponsored by leading equipment manufacturer Prosimmon, which has also received Sportsmatch funding provides one-hour group lessons with a qualified PGA professional coach at several venues in England. Anyone wishing to experience golf for the first time simply needs to phone the relevant number of the venue, book a tee time and turn up, golf clubs and balls are provided.
