New Balls, Please!

The Golf Foundation will be given 2,000 dozen balls by manufacturers Dunlop Maxfli, Spalding, TaylorMade, Titleist and Wilson each year from next January.

Mike Round, executive director of the Golf Foundation, said: "This initiative underlines the commitment of the golf industry to junior golf. Ball manufacturers have supported our work for many years and we are very grateful for their ongoing assistance."

An estimated 50,000 youngsters benefit from the work of the Golf Foundation each year.

Cliff Dews, Chairman of the European Golf Inudustry Association and operations director of Spalding Sports UK, said: "The Golf Foundation does a tremendous job in attracting young people to golf. We acknowledge their contribution to the growth of the sport at grass-roots level which is so important for the future of the game and the future of our industry."
