Programme
The 1999 Amateur
Golf Challenge gives you the chance to play on some of Europe's
finest golf courses, located on the breathtaking coast of the Algarve.
For 5 days, you will be able to pit your wits against other competitors
on the greens of the championship standard course within the Quinta
do Lago estate.
The tournament
is an individual stableford and will be run by the rules of the
Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
Prizes will
be awarded in all categories during a black tie gala dinner. This
could be your chance to win the trip of a lifetime. For the first
player to beat the odds for a "hole in one" there will
be a very special prize.
| Saturday
6th November |
Arrival
at Faro Airport. Transfer to Hotel Quinta do Lago by private
car.
After
registering at the tournament desk, the rest of the afternoon
and evening can be spent at your leisure exploring Hotel Quinta
do Lago and the surrounding area.

7th November |
Champagne
breakfast with a chance to meet your fellow competitors.
Practice
round and fun tournament.
Evening
reception and cocktail party followed by a welcome dinner
for all participants and their guests.

8th November |
Practice
round and team tournament in the morning.
Rest of
day and evening at leisure.
|
| Tuesday
9th November |
First
tournament round of the Orient Express Hotels Challenge.
Traditional
"Algarvian Buffet" in the Navegadores Restaurant
with entertainment supplied by local Algarvian musicians and
dancers.

| Wednesday
10th November |
Day
at leisure with a chance to relax or discover the other golf
courses close to the hotel. |
| Thursday
11th November |
Second
tournament round of the Orient-Express Hotels Challenge.
Evening
at leisure.

| Friday
12th November |
Final
tournament round of the Orient-Express Hotels Challenge.
Cocktail
and Gala Dinner at the hotel with prizegiving presentation.

| Saturday
13th November |
Departure
from the hotel. Transfer to Faro airport by private car.
