To support children and young people with special needs Oki Systems (UK) Ltd, the business colour company, has announced its sponsorship initiative of a major initiative for the Wooden Spoon Society, the charity of British rugby, which is expected to raise a significant funds for children and young people with special needs.

The Oki Golf Classic, a unique event, will consist of even regional events at some of England's finest golf courses, each one hosted by a famous rugby personality. These events are open to UK Corporate and Oki's channel business partners and their customers, who are invited to enter a team of four, for an 18-hole stapleford team competition, providing entrants an opportunity to enjoy a first class day of competition whilst supporting a good cause.

A full programme of on and off course activities is planned with additional competitions with one of the exciting new MG Rover cars as the prize for the hole-in-one competition at each event, donated by the MG Rover Group. Other competitions will include the longest-drive and nearest-the-pin giving each entrant the opportunity to win some exciting prizes.

Each event will culminate with an evening dinner with a guest speaker who will present the prizes for the day, and gives those attending a chance to meet the celebrities.

The winning team and celebrity team from each of the series events will automatically be entered, along with the seven celebrity teams from each event into the exclusive series final at the Buckinghamshire Golf Course on 19th September 2000.
