Norman Discusses
Aussie Open Future

Greg Norman is negotiating to renew his contract to play in next November's Australian Open which is to be played on a course he designed - The Grand on the Gold Coast.

The former world No 1, whose six-year deal to play in the event expired last November has been the greatest drawcard on the Australasian tour for many years and his presence virtually guarantees the success of any
tournament.

"We're in negotiations with him at the moment," said Australian Golf
Union chief executive Colin Phillips. "Greg hasn't missed many
Australian Opens so you'd have to say there's a fair chance of him
playing again this year."
