Hertfordshire businesses urged to get into golf Employers in Hertfordshire are being urged to make it their business to get into golf - together with their staff and their clients. The Hertfordshire Golf Partnership is creating links with businesses and offering them packages of beginners' coaching courses at venues across the county. The Partnership - which aims to grow golf in the county - is working with the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and has already teamed up with MBDA missile systems in Stevenage. Over 20 members of the sports and social club are about to start a six-week course with PGA professionals at Chesfield Downs Golf Club. At the end of the course they'll get the opportunity to sign up for the Discover Golf scheme at the club and they could go on to join the MBDA golf society. The Partnership's business package costs just £25 per person for six beginners' group lessons, plus refreshments, and can be tailored to requirements. Hertfordshire golf development officer Rachel Spry said: "With spring approaching this is the perfect time to take up golf. Our packages offer a great way for employees to get together and relax after work and for business people to network with their clients. "It's an ideal way to mix business with pleasure!" -Ends- For further information contact: Rachel Spry County Development Officer 07980 681 658
