Get into golf in Hampshire Get into golf this spring! Golf clubs and driving ranges across Hampshire are inviting newcomers and returners to give the game a go. Taster sessions will be held at Get into Golf clubs and centres across the county from 25 February until 31 March - and will cost just £5 per person. Each 60-minute taster will be designed for brand new golfers as well as those returning to the sport. There will be advice from PGA professionals on the basics of the game, such as chipping, putting and the swing, and there will also be plenty of information about further opportunities to play golf. The Get into Golf initiative is organised by the Hampshire Golf Partnership, which aims to grow the game in the county. Beverly Huke, the county development officer, said: "It couldn't be easier to get into golf this spring. People who enjoy our tasters will find that there are many opportunities for them and their family and friends to learn, play and join in golf throughout Hampshire."
