England girls' team named for European championship

England will be represented by Heidi Baek, Hayley Davis, Alex Peters and Kelly Tidy (pictured right) in the European girls' team championship at Kokkola, Finland, from July 7-11.

Alex Peters, 15, (Notts Ladies') and Kelly Tidy, 17, (Royal Birkdale) were both in the team which won the silver medal at last year's championship.  

Heidi Baek, 15, (Felixstowe Ferry) played for England in the 2008 girls' home internationals while Hayley Davis, 16, (Ferndown) was a team reserve and this season became the Scottish U16 strokeplay champion.

The non-travelling reserve  is Hannah Turland, 15, (Tidworth Garrison) and the team will be captained by Faye Sanderson (Heworth, Durham).
