With television coverage on Sky Sports, this event will be a week you will never forget. You'll find on-course leaderboards, a huge scoreboard, referees, first tee announcers, the golfing press, photographers, a USGA golf course set up, TV cameras and parties - it ’s probably the closest you'll ever get to the atmosphere of playing in a real professional golf tournament!

The event will be held over 54 holes in 2-ball, better-ball stableford format, with best scratch and handicapprizes. The maximum handicap is fixed at 24, and you will receive a ¾ allowance. The following combinations are all eligible to enter the event:- Father & Son; Grandfather & Grandson; Stepfather & Stepson; Father in Law & Son in Law. The Championship of open to both professional and amateur golfers.

The Championship will again be held at the PortAventura Golf Club in Salou, one of Europe’s new premier tourist resorts. There are two magnificent 18 hole courses at PortAventura, and an additional 9 holes. The championship North Course has been designed by Greg Norman to USGA standards and meanders through a nature reserve, with signature wetlands and boardwalks. Driving is key to success here, hardly surprising when you recall that Norman himself was probably the greatest driver of teh modern golfing era, but the very large greens also place a premium on accurate approach play.
The contrasting South Course is shorter but hiller, and played amongst scrub and pine trees, cutting through old quarries and offering spectactular sea views, and proved a big hit with the players in 2008.

Hotel Caribe in Portaventura
This themed, tropical-style, paradise hotel is part of the Portaventura theme park. Its white sand beaches, four swimming pools, children's club and wellness area, combined with its entertainment venue and gardens, make this a great hotel for the event and for those looking to bring along their family to mix fun and relaxation with the serious business of tournament golf. Standard rooms with twin beds sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, with either queen beds or twin beds and a double sofa bed, private facilities, air-conditioning, safe, mini-fridge and TV. Premier rooms in the Club San Juan are available at a supplement and have extra space, DVD player, hydromassage bath, internet connections and daily press. There is also among other extras, an exclusive breakfast and room service.
How to book your place in the European Father and Son Golf Championship
Entry costs £799 per person, but a £100 early booking discount is being offered for a limited time only, making the cost £699pp (€769).
For juniors 18 years old or under, golf professionals, club secretaries, club captains and head stewards a £200 discount applies, making the cost only £599pp (€658).
Interest is already high, so we strongly recommend you book early to avoid any disappointment! To book, you can pay by Euros or £ sterling*, and you can reserve your team place for 7 days without obligation. Thereafter a deposit of £500 or €550 per team is required, and the final balance is due 8 weeks before travel.
